About Us

Glandore Family Church is a Christian organisation focused on glorifying God and honouring his Son Jesus, in heartfelt worship, service and praise relevant to today. Sunday gatherings are held at the Glandore Community Centre, Glandore, South Australia.

Worship & Remembrance
We will:
• Honour Jesus as our head by obeying him in all things.
• Devote ourselves regularly to the apostles’ teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
• Aim to be meaningful, vibrant, sincere, joyous and thankful in our worship.
• Encourage variety of format and style at our meetings.
• Accept the use of spiritual songs whose words are appropriate and any musical instruments in the accompaniment of such songs.
• Welcome contributions without regard for race, gender, age or social status but according to the measure of faith.
• Assign responsibility for worship and remembrance of Jesus to those committed to Christ, while also encouraging contribution and involvement from those not yet committed.

Seek Truth
We will:
• Provide sound Biblical teaching.
• Enable and encourage each individual to explore and discover Bible truth for themselves – adopting the ‘ask, seek and knock’ approach - without fear or ridicule.
• Provide opportunities for discussion and interaction in learning.
• Seek agreement on scriptural fundamentals whilst recognizing there may be diversity of thought beyond these basic principles.

Preach the gospel
We will:
• Shine our light to each other and the world at large and be fearless in our proclamation of the good news concerning the Kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ.
• Provide an environment that welcomes those who have not yet discovered the gospel, avoiding names, practices, language, dress or behaviours that may serve to alienate the newcomer and younger generations.
• Adopt effective means of presenting the unchanging gospel in an ever changing culture.

Interpersonal Relationships
We will:
• Love our neighbour as we love ourselves; treating others as we would like to be treated.
• Accept one another as Christ has accepted us; showing mercy in the same way that we have been shown mercy.
• Be respectful, humble and submissive towards one other, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
• Deal with difficult issues in a prayerful, Biblical manner, focusing on reconciliation and restoration.

Care & Welfare
We will:
• Nurture each other in a loving and caring family environment.
• Share willingly and generously what God has given us with those in need.
• Provide spiritual encouragement and strength to those whoare suffering.

We will:
• Foster the full use of everyone’s talent/s in willing participation in worship and service, each according to the grace given them.

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds... let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
(Heb 10:23-25 NIV)
